Immersive storytelling for Liverpool Football Club
As a studio based just across the Mersey, working with Liverpool FC on a project like this felt pretty special. After a huge season for the club, we were asked to bring some of its biggest moments to life on the much-loved Albert Dock.
We used large-scale projection to transform the Dock into a celebration of LFC — bringing together its history, its heroes and the moments that have made the club what it is.
The scale of the Dock gave us plenty to work with. We brought together archive photography, players, trophies and some of the defining moments from the club’s history.
It was a chance to take something so familiar and see it differently for a night — Liverpool FC’s story told across one of the city’s most recognisable spaces, The Albert Dock.
A new experience for one of Liverpool’s biggest attractions
The LFC Museum
The LFC Museum had a lot to live up to. More than a century of history, some of the most recognisable names in football and a collection of trophies that speaks for itself.
For its first major refresh in a decade, the museum was reworked into a more immersive, interactive experience — taking visitors through nine new spaces, from the club’s early beginnings right through to the modern day.
We helped bring that story into the digital space, creating interactive experiences that let visitors explore the details behind the shirts, the crest, the players and the moments that have shaped the club.
From archive to interaction
With more than a century of history behind it, there was a lot for the new museum to tell. We looked at how digital interaction could help bring that history into the present and give visitors more ways to explore it.
The evolution of the LFC crest became an opportunity to do exactly that. We turned the history of the badge into an interactive journey, allowing visitors to explore how the crest has changed across the years.
We carried this thinking throughout the museum, using interactive screens, animation and digital displays to bring more of the archive into the experience. From the evolution of the club’s shirts and colours to its players and defining moments, each interaction opens up another part of the story.
By combining physical exhibits with digital experiences, we created more ways to explore the history of the club — making the museum a more immersive experience from start to finish.

More than football
Fusing heritage with technology
This project brought together a diverse blend of our — from projection and interactive displays to spatial storytelling and technical consultancy. Some of the key features we delivered include:
A holographic installation merging past and present title-winners, designed to feel like a conversation across generations of football greats.
A ‘20 Times’ trophy display, combining lighting, motion, and interpretive graphics to celebrate each championship season.
An interactive stats and story screen that allowed fans to explore the 2024-25 campaign through key plays, player profiles, and pivotal decisions.
Immersive lighting and AV design, enhancing the drama of match-worn exhibits and spotlighting personal artefacts.
Trophy photo moments, made impactful through subtle environmental design and branding that kept the focus on fan engagement.
From concept to delivery, our team worked onsite with LFC to install and test every detail - providing creative direction, AV integration, and ongoing technical support.
